Trump: Schiff Using ‘Unlimited Presidential Harassment’

President Donald Trump is accusing House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff of engaging in “unlimited presidential harassment,” in response to the California Democrat’s announcement Wednesday about plans to launch a new probe into Trump’s foreign financial interests and Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

“So now Congressman Adam Schiff announces, after having found zero Russian Collusion, that he is going to be looking at every aspect of my life, both financial and personal, even though there is no reason to be doing so,” Trump said in the first of a pair of tweets he fired off early Thursday.

This has “never happened before!” Trump said. “Unlimited Presidential Harassment.”He also accused House Democrats and their committees of “going ‘nuts'” and said Republicans did not target President Barack Obama.

“There would be no time left to run government. I hear other committee heads will do the same thing,” he said. “Even stealing people who work at White House! A continuation of Witch Hunt!”

The new probe would include the “scope and scale” of Russian intervention, Schiff said Wednesday, as well as the “extent of any links and/or coordination” between Russians and Trump’s associates.

Intelligence Committee members also on Wednesday voted to send special counsel Robert Mueller transcripts from the panel’s Russia investigation, which Republicans ended last March while concluding there was no evidence of conspiracy or collusion.

Apparently not satisfied with his first tweets on the subject, Trump returned to the subject more than an hour later:
