Trump Praises Kelly: ‘Good Work’ for Firing ‘That Dog’ Omarosa
Trump Continues Attack on ‘That Dog’ Omarosa

President Donald Trump on Tuesday renewed his attacks on fired White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman after CBS News aired another of her unflattering secret White House recordings tied to the release of her new book.
“When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn’t work out. Good work by [White House Chief of Staff] General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!” Trump wrote on Twitter Tuesday.
Trump’s barrage of insults Tuesday morning came as Manigault Newman continued promoting her White House tell-all and released a new audio recording that she said showed campaign workers discussing an alleged recording of Trump using a racial slur.
The White House and the campaign did not immediately respond to questions.
One of the people allegedly featured on the tape is Katrina Pierson, an adviser to Trump’s re-election campaign who served as a spokeswoman for his 2016 campaign. Pierson has said she never heard Trump use this type of language and said on Fox that the only person she heard talking about a tape was Manigault Newman.
Asked if the book can be backed up by email or recordings, Manigault Newman said on CBS that every quote in the book “can be verified, corroborated and it’s well documented,” suggesting she may have more information to release. Her book paints a damning picture of Trump, including her claim that he used racial slurs on the set of his reality show “The Apprentice.”
Omarosa released a secret recording Sunday of what she claimed was her conversation with Kelly in the Situation Room, saying he “threatened” her while firing her.
She followed up Monday with a recording she claimed was a phone conversation she had with Trump that suggests he was unaware of her firing and disappointed by it.
Omarosa, a former contestant on the Trump-helmed NBC’s “The Apprentice,” joined the Trump campaign as the director of African American outreach during the 2016 Republican National Convention. She then served in a communications role in Trump’s administration, but was fired by Kelly last December after just one year in her position.
