Greece: The Cradle of Democracy in Western Civilization

The Millennium Report

In the heat of the final battles it is often difficult to see your way forward. Hopefully the great nation of Greece, voting against the tyranny of debt and austerity as they did, can see the light — the GOLDEN light — at the end of this very dark tunnel.

First some context … very important context on the European Continent.

The current ‘war’ between Greece and Germany is no small matter. It has dredged up some very ugly history of which Greece was on the receiving side. Those unresolved feelings and financial hurts left over from World War 2 are festering more than ever. The threatening Grexit is partially due to an outworking of those deep sentiments.

Going back to ancient history, Greece is often considered as the birthplace of democracy. The Golden Age of Greece saw of flowering of different democratic principles set forth by the Athenian leader Cleisthenes.  “The system of political reforms that he called demokratia, or “rule by the people” accelerated the democratization of Greek society, especially the governments of the city-states.  The key point here is that Greece is the very cradle of democracy in Western Civilization.

Greek Referendum Was An Expression Of A True Democracy

By holding a national referendum on AUSTERITY, all Greece was doing was exercising its ancient democratic rights.  After all, the original Democracy movement started there; therefore, why shouldn’t they consider the votes of each and every Greek citizen concerning the single most important issue in their modern history.

And, yet, the entire leadership of the European Union, the European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund stood vastly arrayed against there exercise of democracy; instead, very intent on preventing such a democratic vote.  Various European leaders and representatives threatened and coerced, mocked and scorned, admonished and belittled every attempt by Greece to simply hold a direly needed referendum.  In fact, a referendum was the only way that an authentic political consensus could ever be reached; nevertheless, the European elites were relentless in their outright opposition and unacceptable intervention.

Greece not only seized the day, but did so with a definitive anti-AUSTERITY majority of over 61%.  That outcome completely shut up the European Commission tyrants.   So did the order and calm with which the Greek people proceeded through a thorny voting process rife with political controversy and monetary volatility.

The Greek Austerity Referendum Took Place On The American July 4th Weekend

It is extremely significant, and by no means coincidental, that the Greek referendum took place on the American July 4th weekend.  The actual vote occurred on July 5 and the results were so overwhelming that they were known almost immediately. Immediately, upon certification of the vote count, the entire world knew that 61.31% of those who voted did so firmly against the EU AUSTERITY regime.

Surely this synchronicity with the July 4th weekend celebration of the USA’s independence from British tyranny was divinely ordained.  Certainly the Eurocrats-in-charge would never have planned it that way because of the extraordinary significance of America’s Independence Day throughout the whole world.  The meaning and power associated with the birth of the world’s first constitutional republic — the United States of America — is a global meme of the highest order.

What else can be said about this cosmic coincidence?  Now that the Greek ‘Declaration of Independence’ has been issued to the European Union tyranny, they can expect the same kind of bellicosity that the British inflicted on the 13 colonies.  Unless the despotic EU leaders somehow come to their senses, Greece should anticipate a rather disorderly transition out of the EU.  After being forced into a marriage the people never approved of, the scorned Eurozone is now running interference as follows:

Now that the crucial vote is over, the BRICS economic union is the best place for them to be

Surely the people of Greece understand that the hardest part is now behind them.  Yes, there will be some serious transition challenges but much of the world stands at the ready to assist.  The BRICS economic union is especially ready and willing to help Greece with its very difficult and delicate transition to a prosperous economy.

Were the Greeks to correctly understand what the future holds in store for them, they would quickly embrace the BRICS-allied nations, and especially their egalitarian economic policies, fair financial arrangements and just political philosophy.  Only because they have suffered so much since 2008 are the Greeks conditioned toward more suffering.

Being threatened with AUSTERITY at every turn was particularly oppressive.  However, now they are free from that artificial debt bondage, if only they can reorient themselves to the new Greek reality — freedom from a tyrannical European Union so that they can function henceforth as a self-determining sovereign nation.

Yes, Greece is, and always has been a part of Europe; however, they are also a bridge between the East and the West.  While they will always have their place in the economies of Europe, they can always look to the East for much opportunity and support.  Therefore it has never been so important for them to seize the day … and follow the yellow BRRICS Road.
