This docu-thriller follows family-man-turned-filmmaker, David Hooper, as he unknowingly begins his own 9/11 investigation by asking one innocent question. Within months, his belief system is in shambles and he’s been tuned-out by those closest to him, including his wife, mom and sister. With his relationships on the brink of disaster and facing financial ruin, he risks everything on one last chance to tell his story and recover his life by making a movie for those closest to him. It worked. This is that movie.

Even though, I didn’t know it at the time, work on this film started in February 2011. Back then, I was a regular guy trying to live the American dream, with three kids and a wife, who was pregnant with number four.

It started with a handful of questions about 9/11. That led to more questions which inspired more fact finding. After reading reports by leading architects and engineers, watching interviews with key witness accounts and archival footage of the events of that day, I completely changed my opinion of the official story.

This information pulled me into look deeper, I couldn’t stop researching. I tried talking about it, but felt like no one was listening. At the time, my wife didn’t even believe me . . . nor did my friends and family.

To preserve my sanity and save my marriage, I began assembling footage to visually relay what I had found for my wife, my sister, and a couple of dear friends. This footage turned into the documentary The Anatomy of a Great Deception.

I have now come to realize that there are millions of people, like me, who’ve had a hard time talking about their findings of 9/11 with the people in their lives. As I continued getting requests to see the film, it began to evolve into a “bridge” for all us.

The Anatomy of a Great Deception is meant to engage a dialog on the many findings that contradict the official report of 9/11. I hope this film can further that dialogue.

Amazing. Incredible. Pick your words. For the third time today, it’s reminiscent of those pictures we’ve all seen too much on television before, where a building was deliberately destroyed by well-placed dynamite to knock it down.
