U.S. Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein resigns: Axios
REUTERS
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has resigned in anticipation of being fired by President Donald Trump, Axios news site reported.
Rosenstein verbally resigned to White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, the report said, citing an unidentified source with knowledge of the matter. Reuters could not immediately confirm the report.
“He’s expecting to be fired,” the source told Axios. A New York Times report last week said Rosenstein had discussed secretly taping Trump.
