OBAMA SPOTTED IN HONOLULU JUST MILES AWAY FROM COURTHO– USE THAT HAD TRUMP EO HALTED

Jordan Farris | The Daily Lion

Early into his first term, President Trump sent out an executive order, which “suspended for 90 days the entry of certain aliens from seven countries:  Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen.” It was added that “these are countries that had already been identified as presenting heightened concerns about terrorism and travel to the United States.”

The order was put in place by the president “to protect the Nation from terrorist activities,” however, after being appealed to the 9th Circuit Court, it was blocked.

In response, President Trump and his administration drafted a new executive order pertaining to immigration from the middle east. Nevertheless, the order has once again been halted. This time in Hawaii by U.S. District Court Judge Derrick Watson.

Coincidentally, The Honolulu Star Advisor reported that former President Obama and family had made a “surprise visit to Honolulu” just a day ago. It is also noted that “Derrick Kahala Watson was nominated by President Obama in November 2012 to serve as a United States District Judge for the District of Hawaii.” In addition, Watson and President Obama graduated from Harvard together in 1991.

According to local news Khon 2, President Obama “the former president dined with his sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, and friends in a private room at Noi Thai Cuisine at Royal Hawaiian Center.” The Royal Hawaiian Center is simply 16 minutes away from the courthouse that halted President Trump’s immigration order.
