FERGUSON MO MARTIAL LAW – IS IT REALLY HAPPENING?
First Off – I’m NOT saying there is martial law in Ferguson, MO – and I’m NOT saying there isn’t. What I am doing is give YOU the chance to decide on your own what you personally think. There are lots of things popping up online and on sites like BeforeIt’sNews.comand others that flat out say there is martial law.
But some people have a different definition of martial law than others do, and some people automatically assume (making an ass out of you and me) the worst case scenario and start screaming from the roof tops how the government is out to get us.
I’m not say any of these things in any way, I’m not screaming anything from the roof tops and I’m not writing this post while standing on a soap box either,
I just believe one of our freedoms as U.S citizens and as people of Earth in general, is the freedom to take in information and make our own choices on we think about things – anything!
LOOK AT THIS STUFF AND YOU DECIDE IF THIS IS MARTIAL LAW OR NOT!
Last night my beautiful wife and I sat in front of my laptop and the monitor I have hooked up to it and watched two live feeds of what was happening in Ferguson, MO as it all took place. One live feed was from the media personnel area, and the other live feed was from within the crowd of people as they stood their ground on the first night of curfew being imposed.
Because of “looting and violence” on the nights before with protesters (I didn’t watch the nights before and only saw what everyone else had access to online – so I don’t know what really happened the nights before) Ferguson, MO was placed in a state of emergency with a curfew set for the area from 12am to 5am – basically ALL people in the Ferguson area would have to be in their houses and off the streets by 12:01am – no later – and had to stay inside till 5am.
This state of emergency is what people all over the Internet are calling “Martial Law”.
With all of the talk of “Martial Law” in Ferguson, I wanted to see how things would be handled by the police, if they had military on the scene and so on.
My personal thought on anything involving martial law would be heavily supported and enforced by military.
WHAT I SAW WATCHING LIVE AS THINGS TOOK PLACE –NO MARTIAL LAW!!!
Again, this is just my personal opinion and you’re welcome to make your own decision on whether you think this is Martial Law or not. But here is what I saw as I watched LIVE!
- People were FREELY walking around
- Police DID NOT stop people for anything (until curfew)
- There was NO military on the ground
- While there was tear gas used – it was AFTER crowds didn’t obey curfews
- Police gave warning after curfew BEFORE taking action
- Police waited well over 30+ minutes after curfew to act
- People were being asked to go home
- They had media areas (martial law would have no media)
Personally I do not think there is anything like Martial Law in Ferguson, MO – at least at this time. Does this mean there will not be a full-out martial law in the near future? NO – it doesn’t mean that at all and there very well might be if things keep up and the riots and looting keep taking place.
MY CONCLUSION ON THERE BEING MARTIAL LAW IN FERGUSON, MO AT THIS TIME!!!
Again please know this is just my personal opinion. You can watch the video above and look at the pictures below and even visit the live feed page and watch the recordings of things happening live and come to your own conclusion on things.
This doesn’t look anything like Martial Law to me. Not saying there will not be full blown martial law in the future or even that there are plans to impose martial law – but at this point, in my opinion there is no martial law in Ferguson, MO.
Martial law is the imposition of military power over designated regions on an emergency basis.
Martial law is usually imposed on a temporary basis when the civilian government or civilian authorities fail to function effectively (e.g., maintain order and security, or provide essential services). In full-scale martial law, the highest-ranking military officer would take over, or be installed, as the military governor or as head of the government, thus removing all power from the previous executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government.
I don’t agree with the local police in Ferguson and their way of handling things in the beginning. I also think the officer who shot Michael Brown should be in custody. If you or I did the same thing we would be, just because you have a badge doesn’t mean you get special treatment – at least that is how it should be anyway!
In the end, a young boy’s life was taken. Whether by an officer of the law or not. It’s sad when ANYONE loses a life for any reason and while I support the protests for justice – I also hope things calm down in Ferguson, MO. There is always a better way to handle things without more people getting hurt and without more conflict!
