Putin: I Don’t Take Days Off Because ‘I’m Not A Woman’

Vladimir Putin said Tuesday he doesn’t take days off because he’s “not a woman” and doesn’t have to deal with “natural cycles.”

“I am not a woman, so I don’t have bad days,” Bloomberg reported Putin as saying to filmmaker Oliver Stone. Putin insisted he was not trying to be offensive.

“I am not trying to insult anyone,” he said. “That’s just the nature of things. There are certain natural cycles.”

Putin’s comments are likely to provoke a strong reaction from the American media. (RELATED: Leaked Documents Blow A Hole In Obama’s Russia Narrative)

He ignited a media firestorm in 2014 after making comments about Hillary Clinton that were described as sexist.

“It’s better not to argue with women. But Ms. Clinton has never been too graceful in her statements,” he said.

“When people push boundaries too far, it’s not because they are strong but because they are weak,” Putin added. “But maybe weakness is not the worst quality for a woman.”
